Olrando Magic guard Jerian Grant could be on the move once again.

The Magic are reportedly declining the qualifying offer for the 26-year old point guard, making him an unrestricted free agent, per David Aldridge of The Athletic.

Unlike his younger brother Jerami Grant, Jerian has struggled to find his niche in the NBA. He will be on his fourth team in five seasons should a team take a chance on the reserve guard next season.

Grant averaged just 4.2 points, 1.6 rebounds and 2.6 assists while shooting 41.8 percent from the field with the Magic in 2018-19. He put up career-highs nearly across the board with the Chicago Bulls the year before.

It isn't clear whether Grant will get significant interest once he hits free agency on June 30. However, he could still fill in as a serviceable backup or third-string point guard for any team looking to add some depth.

The Magic acquired Grant last season with hopes that he can compete for the starting point guard spot with incumbent starter D.J. Augustin. Nonetheless, given his shooting struggles, Grant eventually continued on to play behind Augustin.

Shooting has always been the problem for Grant throughout his first four years in the NBA. He is a career 32.4 percent shooter from downtown. Moreover, he doesn't have much confidence to shoot the 3-pointer enough as evidenced by his 1.9 attempts per game throughout his young career.

Jerian Grant needs to become a better shooter if he intends to stick in the NBA. Maybe he should seek the help of younger bigger brother Jerami, who showed significant improvement on his 3-point shooting this past season.
