The Orlando Magic will try to re-sign center Khem Birch during the offseason. However, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Philadelphia 76ers and more teams are expected to express their interest in the 26-year-old Canadian center.

The Magic will attempt to re-sign Birch and will almost assuredly make him a restricted free agent by extending him a qualifying offer, but Philadelphia expressed interest in him during the season and there could be several more this offseason, sources said.

Prior to his NBA career, Birch played for the Sioux Falls Skyforce during the 2014-15 NBA D-League season. He became an NBA D-League All-Star and made it to the league's All-Rookie first team and All-Defensive first team that year.

Birch then played in Turkey and Greece from 2015 to 2017. He concluded his second season in Orlando in 2018-19, averaging 4.8 points and 3.8 rebounds in 50 games for the Magic.

Birch saw more action for the Magic after rookie Mo Bamba suffered a stress fracture in his left shin last February. Birch became the chief backup of starter Nikola Vucevic and upped his production to 6.2 points and 4.7 rebounds per game.

Will Khem Birch re-sign with the Orlando Magic or will he suit up for a different team in the 2019-20 NBA season? Stay tuned.
