Orlando Magic head coach Steve Clifford is well aware his team must establish better defensive rebounding and shot-making to get back in this series against the Toronto Raptors after trailing 3-1.

After stealing Game 1 in glorious fashion on the road, following a clutch D.J. Augustin 3-pointer, the Magic have now lost three straight games to the Eastern Conference powerhouse, facing elimination on the road against a potent lineup.

“We don’t have a lot of room for error,” said Clifford, according to John Denton of Magic.com. “You can make an argument that the biggest difference was their Game 3 offensive rebounding and the same happened tonight. We weren't hitting (while rebounding) — we’re going to have to hit.”

“Look at the strengths of the team — if we turn the ball over, it’s going to be a problem. And if we don’t win the rebounding game by a pretty significant margin, it’s not going to happen for us.”

The Magic weren't effective with their shot selection in the last few games, but what has been the killer is how the likes of Kawhi Leonard, Pascal Siakam and Serge Ibaka have crashed the offensive boards against them.

Giving a team like the Raptors more offensive opportunities is asking for trouble, especially with their free-throw shooting ability and their relentless pursuit of the ball.

Orlando must make shots and not allow second chances to a team that has carved them alive on the glass, despite ranking 24th in the league throughout the regular season.
