Much has been made about Orlando Magic incoming third-year man Jonathan Isaac's development over the summer. The 22-year-old used the offseason to work on his physique, and as it turns out, all his hard work is paying off.

Isaac has reportedly put on close to 20 pounds over the summer, as he looks to enter the new campaign with a more muscular build. However, in spite of his significant increase in weight, Isaac does not appear to have lost any of his agility — something that has impressed Magic teammate Terrence Ross.

“I’ve never seen anybody move like that,” Ross said, via The Athletic's Josh Robbins. “It’s like a giraffe moving like a lion.”

That's one way of putting it, but judging by Isaac's 6-foot-10, and now 227-pound physique, one could actually make sense of what Ross is trying to depict here.

Last season, Isaac averaged 9.6 points (on 42.9 percent shooting), 5.5 rebounds, 1.1 assists, 0.8 steals, and 1.3 blocks, while also connecting on 1.1 three-pointers per contest on a 32.3-percent clip. The former sixth overall pick achieved those numbers in 26.6 minutes per contest, and with an uptick in his playing time expected this season, we should likewise see a proportional increase in his production.

Isaac is considered as one of the potential breakout studs of the 2019-20 campaign, and with the Magic looking to establish themselves as a playoff team out in the East, the former Florida State standout might just prove to be one of the most important pieces of this young and promising Magic squad.
