Despite having key additions in the offseason to bolster their lineups, the Indiana Pacers and the Orlando Magic have not been playing as well as expected. The Pacers currently have a 10-11 record while the Magic are ranked 11th in the Eastern Conference with a 9-12 slate.

In line with these, rumors recently surfaced that both teams are looking for a trade to address their needs. Indiana is looking to get a big man to add depth to their front court and Orlando needs a proven scorer to help their offense. Monta Ellis‘ name has come up as a possible target for the Magic.

It may seem like a good move for both teams as they will definitely benefit from it. The Magic have an influx of big men and appear to still have enough even if they let go one of them. If they add Ellis to their fold, they will have a career 18.7 points per game scorer and a go-to-guy in their roster.

The Pacers on the other hand could make use of an additional inside presence to strengthen their rotation up front.

It will be interesting to see how both teams will make this possible. It would also be understandable if they opt to wait patiently before altering the lineup.
