The Orlando Magic are reportedly in no rush to play second-year point guard Markelle Fultz, according to Steve Kyler of Basketball Insiders.

The Magic acquired Fultz from the Philadelphia 76ers at the NBA trade deadline.

The No. 1 overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft out of the University of Washington is currently rehabbing from Neurogenic Thoracic Outlet Syndrome and hasn't played in an NBA game since Nov. 19.

Markelle Fultz has career averages of 7.7 points, 3.4 rebounds and 3.4 assists in 33 NBA games while shooting 41.4 percent from the floor, 26.7 percent from beyond the arc, and 53.4 percent from the free-throw line.

He only played in 14 games during his rookie season with the Sixers due to scapular muscle imbalance in his right shoulder and was diagnosed with Neurogenic Thoracic Outlet Syndrome in November of this season after meeting with multiple shoulder specialists.

The Magic are wise to play it safe with Fultz. Even though the team is in a playoff push right now in the East, rushing Fultz back wouldn't be smart considering what the kid has already been though.

A fresh start in Orlando is exactly what Markelle Fultz needed and his main focus right now should be on getting healthy and his shot back in order.
