Mo Bamba, remember, is still just 21 years old. A reminder of the Orlando Magic center's youth makes it seem far less surprising he would have so much audible fun sliding down a tube in Beijing. What it doesn't explain, though, is how the impossibly-long Bamba managed to fit in the cart that provided him such a joyful ride.

Fun!

Bamba stands a full seven feet tall, with a ridiculous 7-foot-10 wingspan – the longest in the NBA. Thin for an NBA player when he first entered the league last year, he's clearly put on some good weight since his rookie season ended, too.

The sixth overall pick of the 2018 NBA Draft, Bamba appeared in 47 games during the 2018-19 season, averaging 6.2 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks in just 16.3 minutes per game, shooting 48.1 percent from the field. The University of Texas product suffered a fractured left tibia in February, forcing him to end end his rookie campaign early and robbing him of the chance to get his first taste of playoff basketball.

It’s currently unclear where Bamba fits in Orlando’s long-term plans. When he was drafted last June, incumbent starting center Nikola Vucevic hadn’t yet posted the best season of his career, one that saw him improve substantially by leaps and bounds under first-year coach Steve Clifford en route to his first All-Star berth. Vucevic is a free agent this summer, however, and early indications suggest the Magic are undecided on his future.

Bamba's development, of course, will be crucial to the Magic's progress regardless.
