Nikola Vucevic and Aaron Gordon make up the frontcourt of the future for the Orlando Magic. But there was a time when they found themselves on opposite sides of the aisle, a fact that NBA TV's Jason Terry did not let Vucevic forget during a postgame interview.

Nevermind that Gordon was just three years old when Terry was drafted into the NBA out of the University of Arizona, but tradition runs deep in Tucson. Now that Terry is no longer serving as a sharpshooter in the league, he clearly has his eyes on his fellow Wildcats that make up the pro ranks, while also keep a wary eye on the former USC Trojans, as well.

On the day that the 2019 NCAA Tournament bracket was released, both USC and Arizona were absent following down seasons. Teammate Terrence Ross may hold locker room bragging rights, with his Washington Huskies earning a No. 9 seed, the highest of any Pac-12 school.

There appears to be no Pac-12 bad blood between Vucevic and Gordon, who have developed alongside one another since Gordon was the fourth overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft. Vucevic was elected to his first career All-Star Game this season, while Gordon has started all 67 contests he has appeared in, averaging 16.1 points and 7.4 rebounds per contest.

Together, they have helped Orlando to the precipice of playoff contention in the Eastern Conference. Through play Sunday, they sit one game behind the Miami Heat for the No. 8 seed in the Eastern Conference, looking to both make the playoffs with the Magic for the first time in their careers.
