When the Orlando Magic selected Mo Bamba with the No. 6 overall pick in this year's draft, several experts and analysts felt that Nikola Vucevic's days on the team could be numbered. However, it seems that's not the case, according to a report from Sporting News.

“There is nothing serious going on there with them moving Vuc,” one source told Sporting News.

The team has entertained no real offers for their center, and in fact, the Magic have been rather happy with the way he has played. The Magic don’t want to toss Bamba into the starting lineup before he’s ready.

Of course, if Orlando could squeeze a first-rounder or more from another team for Vucevic — who is in the final year of his deal — things could change, but the Magic tried to move him each of the past two seasons with no luck.

Vucevic has played well through the early stages of this season. In his five appearances with Orlando, the Swiss native has racked up averages of 19.8 points on 56.9 percent shooting from the field (77.8 percent from beyond the arc), 10.4 rebounds, 4.8 assists, 1.6 steals, and 1.0 block in 30.4 minutes per outing.

Though he would be a solid addition to any team, and his value is evident, it sounds like the Magic would like to keep Vucevic on-board.

The Magic will be back in action on Saturday night, when they'll travel to Milwaukee for a match-up against the Bucks. Tip-off is set for 8:30 p.m. EST inside Fiserv Forum.
