The Jacksonville Jaguars were flat-out embarrassed by the Dallas Cowboys in Week 6, and defensive tackle Malik Jackson had some harsh words to say about it.

Jacksonville struggled in nearly every facet of their 7-40 loss. According to Daniel Popper of The Athletic, Jackson was rather blunt about their poor outing:

“We got our ass kicked today. I don’t know what else to tell you.”

Malik Jackson didn't say much, but his comments summed everything up pretty well. The defense simply could not contain the Cowboys offense. Meanwhile, there are some serious concerns about the state of the Jaguars offense with quarterback Blake Bortles at the helm.

The Jaguars defense was coming off a tough matchup against a high-powered Kansas City Chiefs offense. However, they had a perfect opportunity to bounce back against a lackluster Cowboys offense. Dallas had ranked 28th in points per drive and had the ninth-most three-and-outs coming into Week 6. Their abysmal start raised questions regarding Dak Prescott's status as the franchise quarterback moving forward. However, that all changed on Sunday as Jacksonville made him look like his former Pro Bowl self. He completed 17-of-27 passes for 183 yards and two touchdowns while tacking on 82 yards and another touchdown on 11 carries.

Needless to say, it was a blown opportunity for the Jaguars defense to get back on track. However, the loss has undoubtedly raised bigger concerns about their 3-3 start to the 2018 NFL season. Jacksonville has far too much talent to be sitting at .500 almost midway through the year. Unfortunately, they will have their work cut out for themselves when they host a talented Houston Texans offense next week.
