It is no secret that Raheem Sterling's future at Man City remains uncertain. Pep Guardiola reveals that top clubs like Barcelona have a good shot at landing Sterling's signature if he chooses to leave in the near future.

Since the start of the 2021-22 season, Raheem Sterling has unseemingly been left out of the majority of Manchester City's matches. It has been a shock to some fans especially since Sterling has been an integral part of City's success over the past years as he supplied the club with substantial amounts of goals and assists.

With the international break taking place, Man City boss Pep Guardiola made his way to Spain for a charity golf event where he was greeted by members of the media. According to Fabrizio Romano, Guardiola was asked about Sterling's potential loan to Barcelona—which he answered truthfully.

Earlier this year, Sterling expressed his desire for more playing time—believing that he still has the capabilities to compete at the top and he wouldn't mind leaving England to play abroad for a brand new challenge.

Via Manchester Evening News:

“If there was the opportunity to go somewhere else for more game time I would be open to it at this moment in time,” he said. “As an English player all I know is the Premier League and I’ve always thought you know maybe one day I’d love to play abroad to see how I would come up against that challenge.”

Whether Sterling remains at Man City—fighting for a spot to feature in games, or he leaves for another club for more playing time, fans must keep their eyes peeled for what's to come for the English winger.
