Raheem Sterling spoke out on his desire to leave Man City on Thursday, making it clear that he's keen on a chance to play elsewhere in search of more regular minutes. It appears that City is already eyeing a potential replacement for the Englishman in Bayern talisman Robert Lewandowski, who is interested in a new challenge outside of Germany.

According to Bild, Lewandowski's agent, Pini Zahavi, has pinpointed Man City as a possible destination for his client. The Pole could be buzzing for a move to the Premier League to lead the line at Man City and give them a true No. 9. Also, it would be a reunion with Pep Guardiola, who was in charge of Bayern from 2013 to 2016.

Lewandowski is currently under contract in Munich until 2023, but there's a belief that he could certainly leave before then. The striker was briefly linked to Chelsea this past summer, but nothing materialized. Lewandowski, despite being 33, is arguably one of the most clinical finishers in world football and would surely be a fantastic addition to Man City. He's hit more than 40 goals in each of the last two seasons and receives tremendous service on a regular basis at Bayern. He's already netted 13 times this term as well.

The German side won't be fond of letting their best player depart, but truly anything is possible in the summer transfer window. Man City has been playing with a false nine in 2021-22 and with Sterling trending towards an exit from the Etihad, there would be no better player to fill his shoes than Lewandowski.
