Manchester United has yet to decide who their full-time manager will be next season. Ralf Rangnick is doing a respectable job as interim boss, but he's expected to move into a higher-up role after the campaign ends.

That being said, former Liverpool and Premier League star Jamie Carragher believes the Red Devils should be doing everything imaginable to recruit Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel amid all of the turmoil surrounding the club due to Roman Abramovich's connections to Russia.

Via The Telegraph:

“Given the events at Chelsea, Manchester United’s decision to wait until the end of the season presents them with a choice no-one could have foreseen,” Carragher said.

“One of the best managers in the world – the current Fifa coach of the year – must be top of their list.

“Tuchel, like everyone else at Stamford Bridge, will have no idea what the future holds at his current club. No-one can offer him any assurances about how the squad will look at the start of next season given the club’s sale is on hold. No manager wants to be working amid such a background of uncertainty. If he gets the chance to leave for a club of Manchester United’s stature, he must take it.”

Carragher certainly has a valid point. Chelsea is in absolute shambles because of Abramovich and who knows if Tuchel will want to stay at Stamford Bridge if this whole saga doesn't get figured out soon. While the German has voiced his love for Chelsea, a lot could change between now and the summer.

Manchester United is in desperate need of a world-class manager who can turn things around. Tuchel's competitive nature and ability to get the most out of his players would definitely be a hit at Old Trafford. Sure, it might seem like a bit of a longshot currently, but Carragher isn't totally insane with his take.

The Red Devils should be trying to snatch Thomas Tuchel from their rivals.
