There are few bigger icons from the Philippines than Manny Pacquiao. The eight-division boxing champion turned Filipino Senator recently shared an epic image of himself training in the gym in what can be considered as the most Filipino pride photo of all time.

Pacquiao struck a pose with none other than Utah Jazz star Jordan Clarkson and The Black Eyed Peas member apl.de.ap, both of whom are of Filipino descent (h/t Manny Pacquiao on Twitter):

Clarkson is currently the only Filipino-American in the NBA. The 29-year-old has represented the nation at the international level on several occasions. Clarkson had the best campaign of his NBA career this past season, bagging the esteemed Sixth Man of the Year award with the Jazz. Clarkson also took to Twitter to heap praise on his countryman:

For his part, apl.de.ap, aka Allan Pineda Lindo was born and raised in Angeles City, which is a few hours north of the Philippines' capital of Manila. He's most known for his work with the Grammy Award-winning hip-hop group The Black Eyes Peas.

Both Clarkson and apl.de.ap visited Pacquaio during one of his training sessions in Los Angeles ahead of his August 21 bout against unified welterweight world champion Errol Spence Jr. This is expected to be a tough matchup for Manny Pacquiao, who will be returning to the ring for the first time since his split-decision victory over Keith Thurman in 2019. Pacman faces off against an undefeated Spence, whom the bookmakers have as the -240 favorite to win the bout.
