It is no surprise the No. 1 overall draft pick Markelle Fultz was eventually asked about the interesting debate between Kobe Bryant and LeBron James' dominance in their respective NBA careers. One would think Fultz would side with James, a fellow No. 1 overall pick in an unbelievably stacked draft class,  but it turns out Fultz has more respect for the Laker's spitting-image of Michael Jordan himself.

” I think Kobe is better, that's no knock on LeBron, but Kobe is the next thing after Jordan really,” Fultz told SiriusXM NBA Radio on SoundCloud. “Championships do have a role to play with it, but when you just look at the work that Kobe has done, it's- it's unbelievable.”

Although he made it clear who he thinks is better throughout their time in the NBA and what they accomplished, Fultz still thinks James has some time to prove his worth as the top threat in NBA history.

“I think he's up there. I think he got some ways to go” continued Fultz. “The team he has now is pretty great. I think he should be winning more rings, but I think he's on the way there. He's a great player, I think he's the best player right now. So that's how that goes.”
