As many expected, top draft prospect Markelle Fultz will work out with the Boston Celtics ahead of the lottery. The scheduled sessions will be on Monday and Tuesday as the former Washington star guard will be in the team's practice facility on the said days.

The potential number one overall pick will be having a physical in front of the Celtics' coaching staff, as well as a meeting with their front office executives, led by Danny Ainge.

Fultz appears to be the consensus top selection come June 22nd, following his stellar stint with the Huskies, where he averaged 23.2 points, 5.7 rebounds, 5.9 assists, 1.6 steals, and 1.2 blocks per game. He was also named to the All-Pac-12 First Team and Third-Team All-American by the AP.

Should the C's be impressed with what they see in his game during the work out, it will be difficult for them to pass up on him, especially if they believe the 6-foot-4 guard can thrive alongside Isaiah Thomas, who has emerged as an elite player in the league. For now, the team is on a wait-and-see approach, and has also invited other prospects to showcase their skills for them, but Fultz still remains as the popular choice for the top pick they own.
