The Baltimore Ravens went 14-2 in the regular season. That was the best record in the entire NFL. It gave them a bye in the first round of the playoffs, and home field advantage all the way up to the Super Bowl.

The biggest thing it did though was make them favorites. Baltimore ended the year on a 12-game winning streak. They had all the momentum and they were most people's obvious choice to make it to the Super Bowl and potentially win the entire thing.

That did not happen, though. In fact, they didn't even win one playoff game. What did happen was the Ravens faced the Tennessee Titans in the Divisional round, and lost.

It marked their fifth straight season without a playoff win, and their second straight year of an immediate bounce from the postseason.

Both years saw them win their division only to fall at their first roadblock to the Super Bowl.

Cornerback Marlon Humphrey is in his third year with the team. He has blossomed into a star at the position. However, that also means he has been with the Ravens in the last two seasons. And he was brutally honest when talking about the identity of the team.

Yikes. Humphrey said the team's identity is to choke and that they need to take a look in the mirror. This is tough love, but it's hard to argue with him after the last two seasons, especially this one with how much hype was surrounding the Ravens going into the playoffs.

Humphrey is of course adding himself into this mix. He seems to make it clear that he believes everyone needs to figure it out, and that includes him.

The Ravens certainly have all the tools to be serious Super Bowl contenders. They need to take that next step though. It appears Humphrey is ready to be one of the leaders in Baltimore, and make sure that happens.
