According to Nick DePaula of The Vertical, projected lottery pick Marquese Chriss has agreed to a multi-year deal with Nike.

The NBA Draft will take place this Thursday and the 6’10” power forward has done a lot of hard work to raise his stock as a valuable draft pick. Originally considered a mid-first round pick, Chriss has done enough to impress coaches in workouts to potentially move his name up the draft board.

Chriss has worked out for the Los Angeles Lakers (2nd pick) and Boston Celtics (3rd pick). Up to this point, the general consensus has been that LSU’s Ben Simmons and Brandon Ingram from Duke are the obvious first two picks, but we’ve seen surprises by teams before. Just look at Kristaps Porzingis last year.

The 18 year old is the third prospect to sign with Nike, following Ben Simmons and Oklahoma’s Buddy Hield.
