MARVEL's AVENGERS Cosmic Cube Event: New Features and Content

The new big update for MARVEL's Avengers brought a lot of positive changes to the game. Crystal Dynamics fixed a lot of bugs and glitches, making the game more smooth and buttery now. But letting you know about bug fixes isn't exciting – you can head to the patch notes for that. Instead, we're aiming to have the new features rounded up for you and explain to you everything you need to know about this new content update.

Notwithstanding the sensitive information issue, the update pointed the game in the right direction. Those who have still been playing MARVEL's Avengers surely have gotten used to the game's grindy nature. In fact, some of you may even love it! And this new update has both great single-player content and grinding content in loads.

Beating the Odds Villain Sector – A new Villain Sector arrives in MARVEL‘s Avengers. Monica Rappaccini, the Scientist Supreme, plays out the main villain role. Her secret weapon for world domination is the Cosmic Cube. She aims to use this nefarious weapon to make her imperfect future a reality, and it's up to the Avengers to stop her. Beating the Odds Villain Sector will allow players to go through Monica's minions and wreck her secret lab, and experience a boss fight so unique that SQUARE ENIX says it's “unlike any other.”

Getting through the Beating the Odds Villain Sector will take you about twenty to twenty-five minutes. Getting to the Monica boss fight can take around fifteen to twenty minutes all by itself. Of course, this depends on how well-prepared you are against the Scientist Supreme. So, make sure that you bring the correct strike team with you for this boss fight. Once you've beaten Monica, there's a sweet tease in the ensuing cutscene that will surely excite you for the next event.

Cosmic Threat Event – Similar to games like Destiny 2, you can return to Villain Sectors to participate in Cosmic Threat Events. From June 24 to July 8, you can participate in altered missions within Villain Sectors. After defeating Monica, you still have to deal with the aftermath of using a Cosmic Cube. You'll search around the world for traces of Cosmic Energy from the Cube to earn unique animated nameplate, gear, and other awesome prizes. Make sure to take part in this event to help you bridge the gap between now and the next expansion: Black Panther – War for Wakanda.

Mega Hive – Finally, the Mega Hive requirement for Heroic Gauntlets has been reduced from 8 to 4.

MARVEL's Avengers Cosmic Cube Event launched simultaneously on all platforms last June 22. This event is a follow-up to the Operation: Hawkeye – Future Imperfect storyline and sets the stage for August 2021's Black Panther – War for Wakanda. Stay tuned for more updates as Crystal Dynamics prepares for the next expansion for MARVEL‘s Avengers.
