Mass Effect Legendary Edition brings the fans back
The Mass Effect Legendary Edition remaster of the original trilogy really delivered on their promises. Both fans and critics are happy with the game, which we can see from the high review scores and ratings. Indeed, the remaster release has become Bioware's biggest release to date on Steam, which allowed them to reach a concurrent player peak of 59,817 on Sunday. Considering that this game is essentially a re-release of an old game, the number is very impressive.
Earlier this month, Resident Evil Village also released to widespread consumer applause. It broke Steam records for Capcom with over a hundred thousand concurrent players on Steam. Surpassing even just half of that number is already amazing.
This is also EA's second best-performing title on the platform, only being surpassed by the widely-popular Apex Legends. The game released its latest Legacy update earlier this month, which crashed the game's servers as way too many players tried to log in simultaneously.
The graphical upgrades made on the Mass Effect trilogy helped make the older titles in the series much more playable in modern times. It's a great starting point now for new fans of the series. It's even great for those who played the latter ones and missed out on the first ones. Indeed, Mass Effect Legendary Edition made the games more beautiful than ever. However, if you're having some FPS issues in the game, consider toning down your graphics settings.
