It's only the first round of the 2021 Masters, and we already have history to point to and celebrate. Tommy Fleetwood created the memory of a lifetime as the year's first major — played in November of last year but on schedule this year — returned to the pines of Augusta National.

Fleetwood put his stamp on The Masters this year by earning a hole-in-one at the most prestigious tournament in golf. Catch it here:

Fleetwood, with this bomb off the tee on the 16th hole, has earned just the 23rd ace in Masters history. Going four over coming into the sixteenth, it definitely looks like he'd need something to remember the day by too.

Fleetwood, a 10-year pro veteran, has often flirted with the fringes of glory: a five-time European Tour winner, he is looking to build off of a T-19 finish at last year's Masters. Since 2017, Fleetwood has kept his momentum, and has been a recent annual regular in the race to the hallowed green jacket.

For now, he'll still have a way to go through the early play of this year's Masters. That hole-in-one again brings him to +2, which pulls him to a T-35. He'll have a way to go if he's to even approach fellow UK native Justin Rose at -7.

Still, Fleetwood in good company right now at The Masters, as he is joined on the leaderboard by Brooks Koepka, Dustin Johnson (ranked No. 1 in the world), and Bubba Watson.

If nothing else, at least Tommy Fleetwood can walk away from the Masters knowing that he made history. It might be during the first round, and he might not make it through the weekend, but he has momentum, and he has a hell of a story to tell.

Cap's off to you, Mr. Fleetwood. Now let's see what you can really do as The Masters continues at Augusta National.
