The Atlanta Falcons are not looking good. The team suffered their first shut out game at home since 1988, losing brutally to the New England Patriots 25-0. Just the week prior, the Falcons lost to the Dallas Cowboys, 43-3. Per Josh Alper of NBC Sports, here were Ryan's honest thoughts on the team's offensive performance:

“It’s been a tough five days offensively. It’s just across the board. We haven’t thrown the ball well enough. We haven’t run the ball well enough. I’ve got to be more accurate. We’ve all got to be more effective with what we’re asked to do in terms of the game plan.”

Against the Cowboys, the veteran quarterback completed an abysmal 9/21 passes, while throwing two interceptions. The run game wasn't much better, with running back Wayne Gallman providing 55 yards total.

In the Patriots' game, Ryan again threw two interceptions, while Falcons' backup quarterbacks Josh Rosen and Feleipe Franks added one each, for a total of four. The run game was subpar once again, with 34 yards by Qadree Ollison being the highest total.

The Falcons will need to get back on track. They are currently at the bottom of the NFC South with a 4-6 record. Quarterback Matt Ryan is hopeful that the team will be able to perform better in the weeks to come, as they have had prior success with four wins in the past. Yet the past two losses have not been promising for Atlanta.
