Matt Turner’s net worth in 2022 is estimated to be $1.5 million. This is agreed upon by multiple sources such as Popular Bio and Soccer Souls.

Matthew Charles Turner was born on June 24, 1994, in Park Ridge, New Jersey. He attended high school at Saint Joseph Regional High School.

Turner then joined Fairfield University to play for the Fairfield Stags men’s soccer team. Standing at 6 feet 3 inches, he played as the goalkeeper for their squad. He played for four years wherein he made a total of 39 appearances and had 21 clean sheets.

One of the most notable plays during Matt Turner’s college career came on October 16, 2013, when Fairfield faced off against Iona. The Stags were leading by 1 when the Gaels made a long-range attempt that hit the top post. Turner then jumped up to catch the ball but he missed it and went in, resulting in an own goal. Iona went on to win the game with a score of 2-1.

In his senior year, Matt Turner was named to the All-Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Second Team.

After his four-year college career, Matt Turner went on to play for the Jersey Express of the Premier Development League (PDL) for two seasons. He helped the team advance to the PDL national semifinals in 2014 and the PDL Eastern Conference championship game in 2015.

Unfortunately, Matt Turner was not selected in the 2016 MLS SuperDraft. Despite that, he secured a professional contract with the New England Revolution on March 3, 2016, after a successful preseason trial.

“I am very happy for Matt as he continues his playing career in the MLS,” Fairfield University Head Coach Carl Rees said. “His work ethic and skill level that he exhibited as a member of our program carried over to the professional ranks and will ensure his success as a member of the New England Revolution.  I am grateful for the role that Coach Javier Decima plays in developing our goalkeepers and in particular preparing Matt for the next level.”

On April 29, 2016, he joined the Richmond Kickers of the United Soccer League (USL) on loan. He made his professional debut the following day and helped the squad get a 1-0 victory over Toronto FC II.

All in all, he spent the 2016 and 2017 seasons on loan with the kickers where he had a total of 27 appearances. He then made his Major League Soccer debut on March 3, 2018, where he played the New England Revolution’s season opener against the Philadelphia Union. He made four saves but they fell to the Union with a score of 2-0.

After the conclusion of the 2020 season, the New England Revolution fans voted Matt Turner as the Revolution Team MVP and his co-players voted him as the Players’ Player of the Year in the New England Revolution 2020 Team Award Winners. Obviously, this would help to add to Matt Turner’s net worth in 2022.

The following season, Matt Turner was selected to participate in the 2021 MLS All-Star Game. During the game, he made two penalty saves to help the MLS All-Stars defeat the Liga MX All-Stars. He was subsequently named the 2021 MLS All-Star Game MVP.
