Basketball never stops for Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic — and so are rumors about him potentially teaming up in the NBA with fellow Slovenian Goran Dragic.

Doncic and Dragic, who are currently in Europe, representing Slovenia in the World Cup qualifiers, were asked after one of their games about the idea of playing together in the greatest professional basketball league in the world, and here's how the hilarious exchange between the two went down.

Luka and Goran were asked about the possibility of them playing together in Dallas next season.

Luka: “I would like to answer that, but I think it’s a 100.000 penalty if I did. You should ask the GM about that.”

Goran: “We can’t talk about it till july 1st.”

Dragic is set to become a free agent on July 1. The 2018 All-Star point guard started the 2021-22 NBA season with the Toronto Raptors but ended the campaign with the Brooklyn Nets. With the Nets getting bounced out early in the 2022 NBA Playoffs, Dragic was sent on a long vacation from the NBA, but he's obviously in good shape having been part of the Slovenian national team alongside the Mavericks' superstar.

The 36-year-old Dragic doesn't have a lot left in his tank but can provide a steady veteran presence for any NBA team willing to sign him up. He drew some interest from the Mavericks after getting bought out by the San Antonio Spurs in February, but whether Dallas would seriously consider adding him is something that is a bit tricky to gauge, especially with him and Doncic cracking up jokes.
