The Dallas Mavericks' inaugural campaign was all the way back in 1980. Since then, the Mavs franchise has compiled an overall mark of 1,612-1,605 while making the playoffs 21 times.
The Mavs organization has captured one NBA title. That came back in 2011 when Dirk Nowitzki led Dallas to a Finals win over LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh and the Miami Heat.

1980-81
The Mavs traded Geoff Huston and a 1983 3rd round draft pick to the Cleveland Cavaliers for Chad Kinch and a 1985 1st round draft pick.
1988-89
Dallas sent Mark Aguirre to the Detroit Pistons for Adrian Dantley and a 1991 1st round draft pick.
The Mavs also dealt Detlef Schrempf and a 1990 2nd round draft pick to the Indiana Pacers for Herb Williams.
1991-92
Dallas traded James Donaldson to the New York Knicks for Brian Quinnett.
1994-95
The Mavs sent Morlon Wiley and a 1995 2nd round draft pick to the Houston Rockets for Scott Brooks.
1996-97
Dallas dealt Jamal Mashburn to the Miami Heat for Sasha Danilović, Martin Müürsepp and Kurt Thomas.
The Mavs also traded Sam Cassell, Chris Gatling, Jim Jackson, George McCloud and Eric Montross to the New Jersey Nets for Shawn Bradley, Ed O'Bannon, Robert Pack and Khalid Reeves.
1997-98
Dallas sent Dennis Scott to the Phoenix Suns for Cedric Ceballos.
2000-01
The Mavs traded Courtney Alexander, Hubert Davis, Christian Laettner, Etan Thomas, Loy Vaught and cash to the Washington Wizards for Calvin Booth, Obinna Ekezie and Juwan Howard.
2001-02
Dallas dealt Tim Hardaway, Donnell Harvey, Juwan Howard, cash and a 2002 1st round draft pick to the Denver Nuggets for Tariq Abdul-Wahad, Avery Johnson, Raef LaFrentz and Nick Van Exel.
2004-05
The Mavs sent Calvin Booth and Alan Henderson to the Milwaukee Bucks for Keith Van Horn.
2006-07
Dallas traded Anthony Johnson to the Atlanta Hawks for a 2007 2nd round draft pick.
2007-08
The Mavs dealt Maurice Ager, DeSagana Diop, Devin Harris, Trenton Hassell, Keith Van Horn, a 2008 1st round draft pick and a 2010 1st round draft pick to the New Jersey Nets for Malik Allen, Jason Kidd and Antoine Wright.
2009-10
Dallas sent Drew Gooden, Josh Howard, Quinton Ross and James Singleton to the Washington Wizards for Caron Butler, Brendan Haywood and DeShawn Stevenson.
2012-13
The Mavs traded Dahntay Jones to the Atlanta Hawks for Anthony Morrow.
2016-17
Dallas dealt Justin Anderson, Andrew Bogut, a 2017 2nd round draft pick and a 2020 2nd round draft pick to the Philadelphia 76ers for Nerlens Noel.
2017-18
The Mavs sent Devin Harris to the Denver Nuggets for a 2018 2nd round draft pick.
Dallas also acquired Doug McDermott from the New York Knicks.
2018-19
The Mavs traded DeAndre Jordan, Wesley Matthews, Dennis Smith Jr., a 2021 1st round draft pick and a 2023 1st round draft pick to the New York Knicks for Trey Burke, Tim Hardaway Jr., Courtney Lee and Kristaps Porziņģis.
Dallas also sent Harrison Barnes to the Sacramento Kings for Justin Jackson and Zach Randolph.
