The secret is out in Dallas. Dallas Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd tried to avoid revealing the composition of the Mavs' leadership council, but a source has told Tim MacMahon of ESPN who exactly are the men behind the small group following the team's 116-106 home win over the Houston Rockets.

The said council was said to have urged Kidd to use give all 15 active Mavs players a time in the sun during the Rockets game.

Before the game, Kidd decided with his leadership council that all 15 active players would get in the home opener, and they did. Among them was 7-foot-4 fan favorite Boban Marjanovic, who played for the first time this season and had 11 points.

The Mavs really emptied their bench against Houston. Jalen Brunson and Reggie Bullock got the bulk of bench minutes with 28 and 17, respectively. Moses Brown and Frank Ntilikina managed to break a sweat for three minutes of playing time each.

Dallas isn't likely to do this every game, but watch out for all 15 to play again once they figure in another blowout contest.

Luka Doncic led the Mavs with 26 points, while fellow council-member Tim Hardaway Jr. had 16 points. Porznigis lagged behind his council-mates with just nine points in 20 minutes, though he was slowed down by a back problem that paved the way for Kleber and Marjanovic to get an uptick in their minutes.
