The Mavs have extended qualifying offers to Maxi Kleber and Dorian Finney-Smith, according to a report from ESPN's Tim MacMahon. As a result, both players will now be listed as restricted free agents:

As MacMahon points out in his tweet, the Mavs like what Kleber and Finney-Smith bring to their organization. Interested teams will be able to make an offer to either player, but Dallas will now have the opportunity to match.

Kleber, now 27 years of age, signed a two-year, $2.19 million contract with the Mavs in 2017. His qualifying offer is worth $1.93 million.

Kleber made 71 appearances with the Mavs during their 2018-19 regular-season campaign, racking up averages of 6.8 points on 45.3 percent shooting from the field (35.3 percent from beyond the arc), 4.6 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks in 21.2 minutes per outing.

Finney-Smith, 26, signed a three-year, $3.4 million contract with the Mavs in 2016. The University of Florida product also has a $1.93 million qualifying offer.

In his 81 appearances with the Mavs last season (26 starts), Finney-Smith turned in averages of 7.5 points on 43.2 percent shooting from the field (31.1 percent from beyond the arc), 4.8 rebounds, 1.2 assists and just under one steal (0.9) in 24.5 minutes per contest.

In the end, it seems more likely than not that both of these players will be returning to the Mavs in the coming season.
