The legend of Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic just continues to grow. Even though the Mavs lost to the New York Knicks on Thursday, Doncic once again etched his name in NBA history.

Doncic recorded 33 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists versus the Knicks. By doing so, the reigning Rookie of the Year became the youngest player in NBA history (20 years, 259 days) to record a 30-point triple-double at Madison Square Garden:

The Mavs are so lucky to have Doncic be the franchise player in the post-Dirk Nowitzki era. This kid looks like he's going to be dominating the NBA for the next decade as long as he stays healthy.

On the season, Luka is putting up MVP-type numbers. He's averaging 28.7 points, 10.3 rebounds and 9.3 assists while shooting 47.9 percent from the field, 31.0 percent from beyond the arc and 83.3 percent from the free-throw line.

Through the Mavs' first 11 games, Doncic already has seven double-doubles and five triple-doubles. He is well on his way to making his first All-Star team this season.

Dallas is 6-5 on the season. Two of the Mavs' five losses have come to the hands of the Knicks. Head coach Rick Carlisle can't be happy about that. If Dallas wants to make the playoffs this season in the rugged Western Conference, it can't have bad losses to inferior teams.
