ESPN's Stephen A. Smith unquestionably has one of the loudest mouths in the entire sporting world. A lot of people take exception to Smith's overly-passionate outspokenness, and former Cleveland Cavaliers head coach David Blatt appears to be one of them.

Blatt, who is currently coaching Greek side Olympiacos in the EuroLeague, did not mince words when he recently criticized Smith for what he believes to be a lack of basketball knowledge when it comes to the latter's assessment of Dallas Mavericks rookie Luka Doncic.

“I told everyone he was the best player in the draft. Stephen A. Smith is clueless at basketball,” Blatt said,  via Matt Loede of Amico Hoops. “(Dončić) is hands down the best player in the draft.”

Having witnessed the greatness of Luka Doncic first hand prior to his big move to the United States, David Blatt obviously holds the teenager in very high regard. On the other hand, Smith has made no secret of his preference of Phoenix Suns rookie big man Deandre Ayton over Doncic.

Blatt appears to be so passionate about his belief on the Mavs phenom's abilities that he just started a war of words with Smith over it. Then again, David Blatt may still be holding on to some ill will against the analyst, who may have fervently criticized him during Blatt's time in the NBA.

Stephen A. Smith is not one to keep his mouth shut, so it would be a surprise if he decides not to respond to Blatt's comments here. Stay tuned.
