After knocking down all seven of his free-throws in Tuesday night's 114-99 win over the Orlando Magic, Dallas Mavericks star Dirk Nowitzki has tied Los Angeles Lakers legend Jerry West for the sixth spot on the NBA's all-time made free-throws list.
Nowitzki, now 39 years of age, finished Tuesday's game with a season-high 20 points on 6-13 shooting from the field (1-3 from beyond the arc), three rebounds, and one assist in 24 minutes of action.

At his current pace, Nowitzki will have a tough hill to climb if he intends on cracking the top-five. The Würzburg, Germany native is currently averaging 1.3 free throws per game. Michael Jordan has 7,327 made free throws to his credit and is holding the No. 5 spot. “The Mailman” Karl Malone (9,781 made free-throws) is ranked No. 1.
The Mavericks, now 14-28 overall, will close out their current back-to-back set with a matchup against the Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday night. Tip-off from the Spectrum Center is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. EST.
