Dallas Mavericks sophomore Kostas Antetokounmpo pulled off a Giannis-esque Euro step against shot-blocking specialist Jarrett Allen of the Brooklyn Nets during their Summer League game on Saturday.

Big brother took notice:

Perhaps a little revenge for Allen's rejection of one of The Greek Freak's dunks last season? That's pretty impressive, especially coming against one of the best shot blockers in the league. Certainly, younger brother is taking notes from big bro.

The 6-foot-10, 200-pound forward spent much of his rookie campaign in the development ranks last season with the Texas Legends, the Mavs' G League affiliate. In 40 games, Antetokounmpo averaged 10.6 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks while shooting 52.2 percent from the field.

Kostas was selected by the Philadelphia 76ers with the final pick of the 2018 NBA draft. His rights were later traded to the Mavs, who then signed him to a two-way contract for the rest of the season.

The Mavs have an interesting prospect on their hands with Kostas. It makes sense for them to take a flyer on the 21-year-old given that he fits right into the timeline of their budding star tandem of Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis.

While he may never reach the level of his older brother, who won the 2018-19 MVP award, Kostas Antetokounmpo certainly has the athletic gifts and potential to be a solid player in this league. The play above alone shows what he's capable of doing. And admit it, that did look a little bit like Giannis for a second there.
