Former NBA star Gilbert Arenas doesn't see Dallas Mavericks youngsters Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis going anywhere else in the next 20 years.

Arenas, who visited the American Airlines Center recently for a BIG3 showcase, told Fanatics View that the Mavs will certainly keep the duo and build around them — just like what they did with Dirk Nowitzki. The 37-year-old guard furthered that with the uber-loyal Mark Cuban as an owner, Dallas will do everything they can to help Doncic and Porzingis win a championship with the city.

“The thing about the Mavs, or just any organization, is the owner, the loyalty. From a player who has been in the league that knows Cuban and how he moves, he's a very loyal owner and we can see that by how he treated Dirk,” Arenas explained. “…With Luka and Porzingis, we already know they're gonna be there for 20 years, and with those 20 years, Cuban is gonna do whatever it takes to get those guys another championship.”

As Arenas noted, Nowitzki and the Mavs perfectly show what loyalty is — something rare in today's player-driven NBA. Dirk notably stayed with Dallas for 21 seasons, even taking pay-cuts to accommodate the team's rebuilding efforts. Put simply, the big German loved Dallas and the city and the organization loved him back.

With the team entering a new era with Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis, the hope is the two will remain committed with the Mavs like their European predecessor. Dallas is determined to make Luka and Kristaps the cornerstones of the franchise, and just like with Dirk, they are ready to wait and do everything to make it work.
