Dallas Mavericks guard Jalen Brunson roasted teammate Luka Doncic via Twitter on Monday. Besides claiming that a race between Doncic and Dirk Nowitzki would result in a photo finish, Brunson also gave his backcourt mate a ridiculously high rating when asked to judge how annoying the Slovenian wonder kid was:

Instead of going with a perfect 10, Brunson ranked Doncic as so bothersome that he gave him a 77, the same number Luka Doncic wears on his jersey.

No matter how annoying Doncic is, there's no question about his talent. The 20-year-old had a great rookie season, averaging 21.2 points, 7.8 rebounds, 6.0 assists, and one steal a game. He won Rookie of the Year and ended the season with several memorable clutch moments.

Brunson had a solid rookie season himself. As a second-round pick, Brunson wasn't expected to make an immediate impact. Instead, he played in 73 games for the Mavs and started 38 of them. He averaged 9.3 points and 3.2 assists per game in just under 22 minutes of playing time.

In the upcoming season, Brunson will likely be Doncic's backup at the point guard position. Luka Doncic will be the primary ball-handler in the starting lineup, with Brunson picking up where he left off.

It seems like the two guards have hit it off well already. Dallas fans will hope that the connection off the court can translate into some good basketball when the season starts.
