Los Angeles Lakers forward Jared Dudley has some high praise for 20-year old Dallas Mavericks sophomore Luka Doncic, directly comparing the Mavs star to his teammate LeBron James.

During an appearance on The Lowe Post podcast, Dudley said that, like LeBron, Doncic is one of the league's “most unselfish superstars” — a quality that will appeal to other star players.

In fact, Dudley himself said he “would love to play” with Doncic.

LeBron James and Luka Doncic are getting plenty of buckets this season, but their unselfishness and their ability to make others better has been on full display.

Doncic is averaging 28.8 points, 9.5 rebounds, and 8.6 assists per game in his second season, leading the Mavs and their league-best offense to a likely playoff appearance.

Meanwhile, LeBron is having his best passing season yet, leading the league in assists per game (10.6), a feat he's never accomplished in his illustrious career. LeBron and Luka rank first and third, respectively, in the NBA in assists points created.

“The guys who help you get paid? The LeBrons, John Wall types—it's Luka Doncic right now,” Dudley said.

Mark Cuban and Mavs fan certainly hope Jared Dudley's attitude is shared amongst stars (particularly Giannis Antetokounmpo). Despite all their success over the years, Dallas has historically struggled to lure star free agents.
