It is official. The Dallas Mavericks have a new head coach and general manager, and that did not take long at all. According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, Nico Harrison and Jason Kidd are headed to Dallas to team up with Mark Cuban and Luka Doncic.

After the Mavs decided to part ways with Rick Carlisle, they hit the market for a new head coach and Jason Kidd was not a secret candidate by any means.

Longtime Nike executive– and well-respected at that– Nico Harrison is the team's new general manager, and with these moves, the Mavs might be big buyers in the summer.

With Luka Doncic playing at a superstar level, they need to do whatever it takes to bring in some high-quality talent and be able to pursue an NBA Championship.

The Mavs also brought in legend Dirk Nowitzki in an advisory role, so Kidd and Dirk are back together in Dallas where they won an NBA title themselves as teammates under Carlisle.

A new era in Dallas officially begins, and the Mavs offseason will be an interesting one, to say the least. Will Kristaps Porzingis be on his way out? Will they find a star to pair with Doncic?

Who knows, but at least the Mavericks some new names in the front office.
