Dallas Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd couldn't care less about the recent Giannis Antetokounmpo book that made some controversial allegations against him.

The said book–titled “Giannis: The Improbable Rise of an NBA MVP”–was written by sports writer Mirin Fader, which is why Kidd is not making a big deal out of it since it's not from the Milwaukee Bucks star.

“Did Giannis write it?” the new Mavs coach asked when questioned about the book, per Mac Engel of Yahoo Sports. “I’m waiting for Giannis for when he writes it. I’m aware of [the book], but if it’s not from Giannis I won’t pay attention to it.”

The book highlighted several shocking revelations about Jason Kidd's time as Bucks head coach from 2014 to 2018. There was a story on how he called out Giannis Antetokounmpo in front of the team for a mistake that he apparently didn't do–though the Greek Freak was still punished for it.

One of the more controversial claims made by the book, however, was that of Kidd holding a practice on Christmas after a poor game from the team. The Mavs coach received a slew of hate and criticisms after that, with people calling his decision extreme and crazy.

“That book, or whatever everybody wants to make a big deal about …,” Kidd added. “I mean, he didn’t write the book.”

Giannis, for his part, hasn't really said anything about the book and the revelations made about his former coach. Nonetheless, Kidd did emphasize he has retained a good relationship with Antetokounmpo even after he was fired by the Bucks a couple of seasons ago.
