The Dallas Mavericks are coming off a tremendous season where they made it all the way to the Western Conference Finals, only to fall short to the Golden State Warriors. The Mavs have already improved their roster even more as well, acquiring Houston Rockets big man Christian Wood last week to bolster their frontcourt. Now, could Bradley Beal possibly be their next splash? Kendrick Perkins is certainly hoping so.

Beal announced over the weekend he's already made his decision on where he'll play next year, but the Wizards guard won't yet reveal it. In Perkins' eyes, he believes Beal would be the absolutely perfect running mate for Luka Doncic.

Via ClutchPoints:

Beal is eligible for a max extension this summer of close to $250 million from the Wizards, but he wouldn't be able to fetch as much from another team. However, it's clear Washington isn't exactly going in any direction, and if Beal wants to actually win, he might need to move elsewhere, maybe even the Mavs.

Perkins also noted that Dallas could have to offer a player like Jalen Brunson in a sign-and-trade deal if Beal was to join Luka. Brunson is coming off a career year and his value is at an all-time high. The guard is looking for a lucrative contract in free agency, too.

Doncic and Beal together would certainly be scary. Two guards who can score at a high level and play off each other. Perk and Mavs fans can dream for now, but who knows, maybe it's not such a reach after all.
