They call Kristaps Porzingis the Unicorn for a reason. The Dallas Mavericks star is one of the most unique talents that the NBA has to offer and the 7-foot-3 big man has proven that with his recent play.

In a 25-point victory over the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday, Porzingis became just the second player in league history to hit three or more three-pointers and record three-plus blocks in three straight games per Justin Kubatko of StatMuse.

Porzingis' ability to affect the game both in the paint and out behind the arc is what makes him such a dangerous weapon for the Mavs. With the modern-day NBA big man expected to be a threat from outside, it's no surprise that the only other player to record this feat is Grizzlies power forward Jaren Jackson Jr. who accomplished the feat earlier this season.

In Friday's blowout win by the Mavs, the Latvian big man finished with 26 points, 11 rebounds, four assists, four blocks, and three steals while shooting 4-9 from outside.

Strong performances throughout the month of February and the beginning of March have boosted Porzingis' per games averages to 19.5 points, a career-high 9.4 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per game while shooting 42.7 percent from the field and 35.7 percent from deep.

Along with second-year superstar Luka Doncic, Porzingis has led Dallas to the seventh seed in the Western Conference. where they stand with a 39-25 record.
