Dallas Mavericks big man Kristaps Porzingis is not dwelling on the recent trade rumors.

Porzingis said Friday the murmurings are merely a part of the business, adding he is only worried about the things he can control:

“It came out and it is what it is,” Kristaps Porzingis said, per ESPN's Tim MacMahon. “I don’t know what’s going on behind the scenes, and I shouldn’t be too worried about it. It can only distract me at the end of the day. I try to focus on being in the moment.”

The 25-year-old has been through it in the past week.

Bleacher Report's Jake Fischer reported Monday the Mavs have “quietly gauged the trade market for Porzingis.” Mark Cuban later denied the team was shopping Porzingis, adding he was disappointed Western Conference executives were apparently floating fake stories:

But there have been numerous reports suggesting Dallas is, in fact, considering moving the former All-Star.

Ian Begley of SNY reported the Mavs reached out to the Golden State Warriors regarding possible interest in Kristaps Porzingis. Meanwhile, Marc J. Spears of The Undefeated also confirmed the Mavs were kicking the tires on Porzingis during “The Jump” on Thursday:

The conflicting reports certainly don't led any assurances in terms of Porzingis' stability (or lack thereof) in Dallas. But he seems more intent on placing his focus where it belongs: the hardwood.

Kristaps Porzingis is averaging 20.5 points and 8.2 rebounds in 17 games. He has missed each of the last three games with a back issue, but is expected to be available for Saturday's matchup with the Brooklyn Nets.
