Kristaps Porzingis claimed he's ready to go on Wednesday after the Dallas Mavericks raced past the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday night, 124-97. While it will be head coach Rick Carlisle getting the final word, it's encouraging to see Porzingis that upbeat about playing after missing the past eight games with a sore right knee.

The 7-foot-3 power forward also received a platelet-rich plasma injection last week to help with his recovery, a common practice by the team for this kind of lingering injuries.

Porzingis has been out of action since Dec. 29, missing the last two weeks of action in which the Mavs have mustered to go 4-4 during the eight-game stretch that spanned his absence.

The Mavs have won their last two games and just came from sweeping the Warriors for the first time since 2002-03, winning their three encounters by a combined 95 points.

Dallas also beat down the struggling Philadelphia 76ers, which should only serve as a confidence booster while battling for position in a tight Western Conference. Luka Doncic has helped steer the ship to sixth place, and Porzingis' return will only help the Mavs sail with higher winds.

The unicorn is averaging 17.3 points and 9.4 rebounds this season after missing a year-and-a-half with a torn ACL, becoming Doncic's partner in crime after the Mavs dealt for him at the last trade deadline.

At 25-15, one game from the halfway mark, the Mavs have a lot left before they can secure a playoff spot for good, making the back half of the season just as intense as the first 40 games.
