Dallas Mavericks forward Kristaps Porzingis will play against the Washington Wizards with no mask despite having a broken nose.

Porzingis broke his nose on Wednesday against the Memphis Grizzlies:

The Mavs are 31-20 on the season. They dropped to seventh place in the Western Conference standings after losing on Wednesday against the Grizzlies.

Porzingis, who has 16 double-doubles on the season, is averaging 18.2 points, 9.1 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game this 2019-20 campaign. The one-time All-Star forward is also shooting 41.0 percent from the field, 35.0 percent from beyond the arc and 77.1 percent from the free-throw line.

Dallas gave Porzingis a five-year, $158.25 million deal this past summer. The franchise envisions KP and Luka Doncic being the franchise cornerstones for the next decade or so.

In other news, the Mavs are still playing without Doncic, who is dealing with an ankle sprain. Luka tweaked his ankle during practice last week, forcing him to sit out their last four outings.

Rick Carlisle said that the Slovenian wonderboy is expected to be out for at least six contests.
