After the game, Walton chimed in on the controversial exchange. He pointed out that he has “all the respect in the world” for the Mavs star. Walton also denied saying anything to Doncic.
“I have all the respect in the world for Luka. He got what he wanted tonight, wherever he wanted. I wasn’t saying anything to him. I don’t know if he thought I said something to him,” Luke Walton explained.

The Mavs' dominant 130-111 win over the Kings is Doncic's first game back after missing seven games with an ankle injury. He finished with 33 points, 12 rebounds and eight assists in Dallas’ final game before the All-Star break. Meanwhile, big man Kristaps Porzingis chipped in 27 points, 13 rebounds and five assists.
Luka Doncic will be part of Team LeBron in the first All-Star game of his young career, and it sure looks like he is ready to play.
On the other end, the Kings got contributions from Buddy Hield who had 22 points and nine assists, De'Aaron Fox who had 16 markers, and Kent Bazemore who dropped 15 points. It's also their final game before the All-Star festivities.
