Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic led Slovenia to unfamiliar territory this summer as they made the semifinals in Tokyo but eventually fell to Australia in the Bronze Medal Game. Nevertheless, the Mavs guard is arguably the greatest player to come out of the country and he hasn't forgotten where it all started.

Doncic recently just renovated where he first learned how to play basketball in Slovenia. Take a look at these awesome courts:

It's all about giving back and Doncic was able to do that with this awesome gesture to his roots. It really doesn't get any better than this. The Mavs superstar continues to solidify himself as one of the best players in the NBA after yet another fantastic season in 2020/21 where he wreaked havoc on his opponents. Although Dallas bowed out in the first round of the playoffs, Luka was nothing short of amazing.

The next step for the Mavs is to make a deep playoff run. They've added Jason Kidd as their new head coach and secured the talents of sharpshooters Tim Hardaway Jr and Reggie Bullock, with the former signing an extension.

Slovenia is definitely proud of Luka Doncic and clearly, the feeling is mutual. He is proud of where his journey began.
