Dallas Mavericks rookie Luka Doncic says “it was amazing” to hear Miami Heat legend Dwyane Wade compare his passing skills to Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James.

After the Heat and Mavs played before the All-Star break, Wade said Doncic's passing reminded him of James from the standpoint of how Luka can find shooters in the corner when he's under duress.

Speaking to reporters in Dallas, Luka Doncic said Dwyane Wade's praise meant a lot to him.

“It was amazing,” Doncic said, via Landon Buford of Fanatics View. “I saw what he said. That kind of legend, he has been around here for so much time. He was an amazing basketball player and he still is. It was just amazing to see and it touched me for sure.”

Luka Doncic has been turning heads left and right all season and he's the front runner to win the 2019 Rookie of the Year award.

Anytime you can get a future Hall of Famer like Dwyane Wade to comment on your game, you're doing something right. It was just icing on the cake for Doncic to be mentioned in the same breath as LeBron James.

Doncic is averaging 20.7 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 5.6 assists per game this season for the Mavs while shooting 43.0 percent from the field and 34.8 percent from beyond the arc.
