If recent news are any indication, it looks like the Dallas Mavericks are going to run it back with Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis as their core.

Luka, for his part, doesn't seem to have any problem with it. In fact, he might be looking forward to playing with KP again and see how their partnership will pan out under a new head coach in Rick Carlisle.

Doncic even recently showed his approval to the work Porzingis is doing after liking the Latvian's latest Instagram post about his offseason work and how he is building his body and conditioning it for what  should be another grueling season.

The Mavs' 2021 playoffs ended in disappointment, with Luka Doncic being the lone bright spot of the team. However, several fans and critics argued that  it might be time for the team to part ways with Kristaps Porzingis since he hasn't been effective at all in his two years with the team so far.

Nonetheless, with KP only finally being 100 percent healthy this time around after struggling to find his rhythm since his ACL injury, the Mavs are giving the partnership another chance. New head coach Jason Kidd reiterated that recently as well, noting that he is excited to coach the big man who is often compared to Dirk Nowitzki.

It remains to be seen if the 2021-22 season will be different for the Luka-KP duo, but it sure looks like it's going to be an exciting season as the Mavs doubled-down on their belief with the key main pieces they have.
