Dallas Mavericks superstar Luka Doncic is just 22 years old, but he has already made 5,000 career points in the NBA. Not that it's surprising given how phenomenal he has been since entering the league  in 2018, but it is still nothing short of amazing.

Doncic headed to Friday's game against the Cleveland Cavaliers needing just seven points to reach the 5,000-point mark, and he made those seven points look easy early in the first quarter of the game. With that, he became the fourth-youngest player in NBA history to reach the feat.

According to Mavs Twitter, he is also the fastest player in franchise history to score such numbers, needing just 194 career games. For what it's worth, it took Nowitzki four seasons to reach the  same mark.

Luka Doncic has quickly established himself as one of the best players in the NBA, and since he has been the Mavs' No. 1 option on offense, making the record is an expected result.

However, how many 22-year-olds can actually score at such high level? Not to mention that he is also stuffing the stat sheet, contributing on the assist and rebound department as well. Prior to Friday's game, the Slovenian wonderboy was putting up 28.5 points, 8.1 rebounds and 8.9 assists.

Had the Mavs been more consistent at the start of the season and had they gotten a better record, Doncic would have been the frontrunner for the MVP award. Nonetheless, with the way he's playing, there will surely be more opportunities for him to claim the highest individual honor in the sport–something that Nowitzki won in 2007.
