Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic used to have bunnies.

Doncic responded to a clip tweeted out by Real Madrid Basket–Doncic's former club in the Euroleague–joking he used to have springier bounce during his time in Europe.

Considering Luka Doncic is more of a crafty scorer who utilizes his frame and a nifty step-back to create space, this kind of explosiveness does indeed feel like a bit of a blast from the past.

At the same time, Luka can still rise up for the occasional jam. Just ask Paul Millsap and Nikola Jokic.

Doncic might not be the same kind of high-flyer he was during his teenage years, but he has quickly become one of the best offensive players in the game.

The 21-year-old was averaging 28.7 points, 9.3 rebounds and 8.7 assists in 54 games prior to the suspension of play. He also ranked fourth in the NBA in player efficiency rating (PER) and seventh in value over replacement player (VORP), per Basketball Reference.

Dallas will hope Doncic has his full repertoire with him when the team heads to Orlando for the resumption of play in July.

The NBA's board of governors approved its return-to-play plan on Thursday, and the Mavs will play eight games before advancing to the playoffs.

Doncic and the Mavs have a crucial opportunity to improve their playoff seeding. Dallas is currently seventh in the Western Conference, but they are just 1.5 games back of the Oklahoma City Thunder for the No. 5 seed and 2.5 games back of the Utah Jazz for the No. 4 seed.
