Most of the members of the Dallas Mavericks, including Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis, decided to meet up in Miami for some pre-camp workouts and team bonding:

The Mavs are hoping to compete for a playoff spot next season. With Doncic coming off a terrific rookie season and Kristaps Porzingis fully recovered from his ACL injury, the expectations are rising for this young team. So, it is important for their players to build chemistry early, especially since opening night of the 2019-20 season is less than two months away.

Dallas finished 13th in the Western Conference last season with a 33-49 record, but they have been able to build a pretty interesting team led by Luka and KP. Aside from those two, the Mavs have some intriguing young pieces in Jalen Brunson, Maxi Kleber, and Justin Jackson, as well as vets like Seth Curry, Boban Marjanovic, Tim Hardaway Jr., and Courtney Lee. There's no telling how good this team will be until they step onto the court, but they have some potential.

The Mavs have been patiently rebuilding their team over the past couple of years. They may have failed to land a notable free agent, but they still have two of the most promising young stars in the league. Ff everything goes their way, they might just be able to make make it to the postseason for the first time since 2016.
