Another day, another triple-double for Luka Doncic. The Dallas Mavericks superstar started the second half of the NBA season with a bang as he ended Wednesday's performance against the San Antonio Spurs with his eighth triple-double this campaign. He led the way with 22 points, 11 boards, and 12 dimes en route to a 114-104 win against their state rivals.

Doncic's triple-double was quite historic. The young guard from Slovenia tallied his 33rd career triple-double, passing Rajon Rondo and tying the legendary Bob Cousy for 11th place on the all-time list. What's even more impressive is that Doncic has only played a total of 166 games (via SportsCenter).

In his short time in the NBA, the 22-year-old Doncic has clearly proven that he's one of the most promising stars. He do-it-all playmaer has been dazzling in his first two and a half seasons with the Mavericks, which includes being selected as an All-Star twice, an All-NBA First Team selection, and the Rookie of the Year trophy in 2019. Last season, he led the Mavericks to their first postseason appearance in four years.

Doncic's all-around game has been his biggest asset ever since he entered the NBA. His 33 triple-doubles in 166 games puts him at a rate of notching one triple-double every five games. His numbers this season have been outstanding once again with 28.6 points, 8.4 rebounds, and a career-high of 9.0 assists per outing after the first half of the campaign.

With a whole career ahead of him, it won't be surprising if Luka Doncic continues to climb the triple-double ladder in the years to come.
