Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks will more than likely face the Los Angeles Clippers in the first round of the 2020 playoffs, and the star point forward already knows people are going to count the Mavs out.

Both Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis will be making their playoff debuts in 2020. If the Mavs do end up facing Kawhi Leonard, Paul George and the Clippers in the first round of the postseason, they would be the underdogs.

However, anything can happen in the playoffs. Doncic is already a superstar in the NBA and won't be afraid of the bright lights. He's been playing high-level basketball since he was a kid, so the ruggedness that playoff basketball presents wouldn't faze Doncic.

The Mavs, though, have to close out their seeding games schedule on a high note to carry some momentum into the playoffs. They are only 1-3 at Disney World and haven't played well on either side of the ball. Dallas takes on the Milwaukee Bucks, Utah Jazz, Portland Trail Blazers and Phoenix Suns in the remaining seeding games. Those are four tough opponents, so the Mavs have to be ready to play from the jump.

Doncic entered Thursday averaging 29.0 points, 9.5 rebounds and 8.8 assists for the Mavs. A first-round series with Luka, Porzingis, Leonard and George would likely draw high TV ratings.
